Occasion
Team building and corporate training session for group cohesion and the transfer of strategic skills
Goals
-
Strengthen teamwork and unity in an unconventional challenge setting
-
Transfer concepts of leadership and strategy through the presence and initial exercises of the mental coach
Our approach to the event
We adopted an approach that combines indoor training with outdoor activities. The activity was designed to mentally prepare participants for problem solving before putting them to the test physically, linking the success of the orienteering challenge to the final prize, namely lunch.
Description
We organized a comprehensive team-building activity on Mount Etna, focused on personal and group growth:
- Initial Training:
- The day began with a training session led by a professional mental coach. This served to set the mindset for leadership, communication under pressure, and group strategies before the physical challenge.
- Orienteering:
- Participants were divided into teams to take part in an orienteering competition on volcanic trails.
- The stages of the route were functional: each checkpoint involved finding specific items, such as tools or ingredients, for a shared lunch.
- Final BBQ:
- At the end of the challenge, the items collected were used to organize a convivial BBQ lunch at the foot of the volcano, which served as a moment of decompression, networking, and celebration of collective success.
